If you're a Landry, this is the place for you!

August 2007

I don't wanna work, I just wanna bang on my drums all day...

It's FRIDAY! Yah, I'm excited. Can you blame me. It's been a rather short week after spending 5 days in the woods hike 45 miles. I'm still walking with a limp and my hips still a little sore. I hope I've learned my lesson and not "run" down all the hills I come across to make up for lost time. Overall, it was a fantastic trip that I hated about half the time. :) Hard to explain, I really wasn't fond of the 14 mile days hiking in the woods by myself...but I really enjoyed the end of the day sitting around the site with all the other hikers and listening to their stories. I spent the most time with Tuna Bag and Wrong Way. When I left them, they still had around 600 more miles to go before their journey was over.

On other notes, getting really into the PS3 lately. Especially now that Tanveer and I can play online together. Adds that much more fun to the game. Got a horse show tomorrow. Haven't had one in awhile. I always get a little nervous when I know I am going to be running the booth...worried I'll screw up. Sunday is going to be exciting...going to meet my great-aunt for the first time. Won't hang around long though, only planning a short visit. Then off to do some geocaching.

Monday is going to be the start of my fitness program. Hoping the rest of my body heals before I start it...but I really need to start it. Will get me eating healthier and feeling better.

I'll keep ya posted!

Stardust and my Weekend

The weekend has already blown through and I am back at work. Thought I would give you a little update to my exciting weekend. Saturday morning comprised of running around in the morning and going to a horse show that night. I must say that I rocked the booth at the show. I was running at top speed and we actually managed to get home at a decent time. Sunday, I got to meet my great aunt and hang out with the fam for a few hours. Then Laura and I headed off to see Stardust. I highly recommend that movie. It's a fairytale but done very well. You've got Robert De Nero as a gay pirate and Michelle Pfeiffer as an evil witch. Throw Claire Danes as a falling star and you have a fantastic fairytale. Go see it!

I Challenge Thee...

So one of the guys at work introduced me to Chumley.biz. It's a site that consists of a series of computer related challenges. They are focused around hacking, cracking and crypto. Anything from hacking a javascript to decompiling a file to find the serial. So far out of 69 challenges, I've completed 12. I've got ways to go. I did get my server running 2003 again so I can start trying these at home.
