It's been brought to my attention that I haven't done a fantastic job updating the site lately. The summer has been so crazy and so much stuff has happened I just haven't had the time to completely keep everyone up to date. I am planning in the next week or so of posting some pictures (as soon as I get then from Mom) of the amazing enagement party that Uncle Ray and Andre and my parents threw for Laura and I. I will also be posting pictures of the trip to Maine that Laura and I just got home from.

As far as a quick update goes:
Uncle Ray, Andre, Mom and Dad threw Laura and I a wonderful engagement party. It was nice to have everyone together. The food was great and we even had an inflatable castle and a DJ. Uncle did a great job picking out the favors which were little GeoCaching key chains. All in all it was a great day and a big thanks to Uncle, Andre, Mom and Dad for putting it together.

Laura and I attempted to finish the Massachusetts portion of the Appalachian Trail and only lasted a night. Due to some bad planning on my part, we discovered that 17 miles in one day carrying 30lbs of gear is just too much for us. We cut the trip short and have concluded that we don't like backpacking. :)

We recently returned from a week in Maine. We spent a week canoeing around Allagash Lake in northern Maine. We saw nine moose, a bald eagle, a redtailed hawk, and some other smaller critters. It was a great trip. Was nice to be away from everything and everyone to get some much needed quite time. I do believe, however, the sun block and bug spray we were using, when combined, turns into sun tan lotion and bug food.

Also, Laura bought her first gun on Friday. We are all going to the range, yes...Mom is coming too, Sunday to break all the new guns in. Should be an exciting day. I'm pumped! I may be missing some updates, but I believe the above is all the major stuff. Like I said, pictures will be posted real soon. Keep your eye out for the gallery.
